Dr. King spoke openly about health inequity because he understood something many people still experience today: health is shaped by systems, not just personal choices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mental health is part of that truth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many people in marginalized communities, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mypacifichealth.com\/pt\/a-day-to-destigmatize-how-to-celebrate-world-mental-health-day\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sa\u00fade mental<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> struggles are not random or personal failures. But in reality, access to mental health care is not equal. Where you live, how much you earn, your insurance, your language, and your life experiences all affect whether care is available and affordable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many people face barriers like long wait times, few providers nearby, or care that does not feel culturally safe. Service can be quiet, local, and deeply meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people observe Martin Luther King Jr Day by volunteering. Others honor the day by supporting mental health in simple ways that fit into everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This might mean sharing accessible resources\u2014like low-cost therapy options, crisis lines, or a community health center near me\u2014with someone who needs support.
