Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) appoints Victoria Worthy as new Chief Information Office<\/p><\/h2><\/div>

(French Camp, CA)\u2013Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ) announced that\u00a0Victoria Worthy\u00a0<\/strong>joined the organization as chief information officer (CIO). CIO Worthy has extensive senior leadership experience working in California\u2019s local health landscape. She combines technical and business expertise to manage complex technology disciplines, risk management and process improvement. Her specialties include systems, networking, telephony, helpdesk (i.e., employee customer service), enterprise configuration, information security, disaster recovery (DR), and technical architecture.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Previously, at Kern Health Systems in Bakersfield, California, Worthy served as senior director of information technology. On behalf of Kern, she was a lead collaborator with providers for development of a local health information exchange (HIE). One of her missions as HPSJ chief information officer is to further collaboration with public and safety net providers bringing together data analysis tools in a local platform that benefits health outcomes for Medi-Cal beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Worthy is affiliated with several professional societies including QNXT Leadership Group, Project Management Institute (PMI), and Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). Committed to serving as a mentor, Worthy also volunteers on the board of Women in Healthcare Information Technology (WHIT).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Succeeding Cheron Vail as HPSJ CIO, Worthy remains the only woman heading an information division among members of Local Health Plans of California. LHPC is a statewide trade association that represents all 16 local, not-for-profit health plans that provide access to critical and comprehensive healthcare services for low-income populations enrolled in California\u2019s Medicaid program<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
